The goals of the TMMP were developed through collaboration with community members, stakeholders, and city leadership. They are intended to serve as a guiding framework for future mobility investments, infrastructure planning, and policy development in Seguin.
Improve connections across the city by creating a more seamless, efficient
network for all users —linking neighborhoods, schools, employment
centers, and key destinations with intuitive and accessible routes.
Protect the unique charm and open-space feel of Seguin by integrating thoughtful design solutions that align with the city’s small-town identity and scenic rural landscapes.
Expand and improve travel options for residents and visitors alike—supporting walking, biking, driving, and public transit to reduce congestion and make daily travel more reliable and convenient.
Focus on practical, cost-effective transportation solutions that can be realistically funded, designed, and built within identified timelines and budgets.
Prioritize the safety of all users—drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders—by identifying and addressing areas of risk and designing infrastructure that promotes safe travel behaviors.
Integrate Seguin’s existing and future trail network with the broader transportation system to support active transportation, recreation, and community connectivity through a unified planning approach.
The Seguin TMMP process begins with collecting data and analyzing existing transportation conditions, followed by collaboration with advisory committees and stakeholders to help guide the plan’s direction. Community engagement plays a key role throughout, helping to shape the goals and vision for Seguin’s future mobility. The plan then moves into developing recommendations and an implementation strategy that reflects community needs and priorities. With continued public and stakeholder input, the City anticipates the plan will be refined and finalized in summer 2025.
